• Moving? Graduating?

  Well, I think it has been a really long and exciting road, but I will be graduating college in 2 weeks! I am so nervous and excited at the same time. My friends here are absolutely amazing and my professors are the best! We have a friend/student relationship which is so much better then the boring student/professor relationship! I went down to Nashville 2 weeks ago to get my apartment. It was a tough search, but I finally found one that I really liked and when my lease is up there I made a friend at a boot store who said to move into his complex because it is amazing!

  My road to this point has had its ups and downs, but mostly ups! It is so hard to move away from my family and especially my little nephew but I have a huge support system in West Virginia that helps me get through it all. Without them, I don't know what I would do! My family is coming out to visit me when I graduate, and then I am off to Nashville and they will be back to Minnesota. I am trying to talk my sister into moving to Nashville with me because she hates her job, but it is a long process with her! I have so much school work to get done this week and I don't know if I will be able to stay awake for it all! I need to make several commercials, and do spotlights on 8 more people before Thursday and have them be up to par with the rest of my portfolio. On top of that one of my favorite professors was let go and she wants me to write her a letter of recommendation...like that's something that I can just roll off my tongue! NOT!

  Oh well, hopefully God will give me the strength like he always does to pull through this week and make it the best last week of classes ever! Then I will probably be off to Grad school at Belmont University! I love the broadcasting field and I hope that the Opry job and the newscaster job works out for me!

• Mary Catherine

  As most people are enjoying the company of their families today, I am thinking about a special girl in my life. God took one of my good friends away from me today. She lost her battle with cancer. Mary Catherine was such an amazing girl inside and out. I looked up to her and how much strength she had. In high school she was my basketball buddy and we had so many good times together. She fought the evilness of cancer for 4 long years. When things got worse she just got stronger. She wasn't going to let the disease run her life. As you all celebrate with your loved ones, please be extra thankful that u have people that you love by your side. God gave me another angel today and heaven is a much better place. Mary, I love you so much and thank you for showing me what true strength really is. You will be missed by all!

  These are some poems that I live by. Mattie Stepanek was an amazing little boy who lost his life too soon. He beat the odds of musular dystrophy but lost his life to the disease. Here are a few of his poems that will change your life if you let them.
